success!. I tried holding out for one of the 10 nice toms...... but after chasing them for several uncooperative hours, a bird in the hand feeds a family of 5 :D

jeff, my buddy is having the same problem as you... he had to leave early when we had a group of 7 nice toms chasing around 4 hens in a picked corn field. I had to take the long way around and didn't get back into them until they were off my farmers land. I was able to call the jake back in, I wasn't going to waste that opportunity :D now we have to find time to get my wife out...

eric, it sure was! I would tell you but this farmer is very particular on who he lets hunt his land. it took me several years of asking before I could hunt it. it is definitely turkey nirvana!

Just kidding ZPD 307, you and your boy have a honey hole that is great. I have a buddy who just bought some land south of Mazeppa since there is no deer (602) he want to shoot a bird on his land. If that don't work, plenty of back up. I only have 2 Days wife has surgery on Monday, torn ACL

there should be plenty of birds around there! in fact, anywhere around here.... I have some old timer school bus drivers who have to give a daily turkey report, they are everywhere. good luck!
