Just got a leather no-drill sling with bandolier ordered for it. Put a few rounds down the pipe cause i just had to. Pretty sweet gun, got a steal on it too.

Dad had one just like that in 35 Remington. My sister has it now. It is a sweet old gun for sure. They had a long Ballard barrel. Now they have the short micro-groove, or that is what they had the last I heard.

   w envy. Worthy acquisition. I'm always shopping for a Savage or Marlin lever gun in a woods elk caliber: 7/08, 308, 308 Marlin Express, 444. I had a 444 I let go for some lame reason I can't recall. One that got away.

Heres a pre safety 444 that looks to be in pretty good shape, and its been up for sale for a while now with a couple price drops. Since its not sold you may be able to talk him down some more. https://hunting-washington.com/smf/inde ... 646.0.html

Thanks, Whitey. That one is a lot like my previous one. I had see through mounts and a 2.5x widefield scope. The Lyman peep on this one is sweet. Let me look out the window to see if my ship has come in.
