Jumping Jack Trailer vs Wall Tents

Postby cnelk » 04 16, 2013 •  [Post 1]

Looking for input regarding Jumping Jack Trailers.
I have 2 ATVs with a utility tralier now and 2-3 wall tents but have been looking at these trailers to possibly incorporate into the gear

Thoughts?

My inlaws just bought one. Haven't used it yet, but it sure is a novel idea. I'd rather camp a few miles away from the truck, but I don't hunt areas where you can use 4-wheelers. If I did, I would consider buying one myself.

I would be using it for summer camping trips, fishing trips [pull my boat behind it], turkey hunting trips, etc.
Whats neat is you can slide out the tent part and just have the trailer if needed.

They are a bit spendy tho!

I know I cant give up my wall tents tho

I've seen them at Sportsmans. For what they cost, you could buy a decent used small camper with indoor plumbing.

I currently use one. Think we slept in it over 30 days last year. Sleeps three comfortably, but two people must share one bed. It is used mainly for sleeping. It is water proof but I put a tarp over it and my cooking area. It sets up in less then 5 minutes. I level it out and use trailer jacks on each corner to stabilize it more. I was going to buy a camper but didn't want to tear it up with some places I go. It is light and easily moveable so you can push it in those hard to back in areas. A little buddy heater is all we use to heat it. Any other questions let me know.
