Aaaah, I dunno? I don't have much of a problem with cold feet. I could put on my snow boots with a couple pair of wool socks, I guess.

My feet sweat terrible.
I have to wear boots that are a bit big to give an air release around my foot. Too tight = cold feet no matter how much thinsulate.
If you leave the tops somewhat open to vent helps too.

I carry extra socks. Gotta take care of your feet

When the mercury drops I break out the Kenetrek Mountain Extremes. Love them... especially with the new insoles.

Use your 400-600 gram boots & when weather gets cold put a foot warmer in between your socks. Put them in before feet get cold, they last for 4-5 hours so carry a few replacements. They're cheap heat & you don't need new boots! (grin)

X2 and if you will not be hiking but in a tree stand checkout hotmocs, I used them down to zero without issue in the stand but they allow you to still use a good unbulky boot for hiking.

When the weather is dry you'll catch me in anything from tennis shoes to 11" leather boots. But when it gets cold, wet, muddy or snowy. out come the Muck Boots. I've never owned a pair of gortex boots that didn't leak sooner or later. And it is usually sooner.

Well, then I suppose there is no hope for you! LOL! I have two pair of mucks. One is rated at -20 and the other at -40 . I love em. Like wearing a pair of house slippers for the -20 ones.

I do not know if anyone else uses them, but I still have my Four Buckle Artics. I can pull them on over my tennis shoes while wearing a good wool sock and they are warm. They are not great for traction, but that may not be an issue. It isn't an issue in many places I hunt.
