sorry to beat a dead horse, but what should i put on my sassalongs. nikwax seems to be the most talked about. ive never put anything on boots so not sure what to use that wont clog the goretex

I use Olbenauf's, hasn't done any damage after a year of use.

I use Obenauf's and Nik Wax. Nik Wax is nice because it requires no heat although you can get by without it for Obenauf's too. Nik Wax is actually recommended for use on Gore Tex lined boots. I've ued it for years with good results and no negative effects on leather, Cordura, or stitching. Boots should be damp when applying it.

My boots have been starting to hold a lot of water in the leather so I started looking into this and most boot manufacturers tend to recommend nikwax. I will be giving that a try.

I also use obenaufs, i have used G wax from lathrops and that worked very well also.
