quick backpack review

Postby bnsafe » 05 21, 2013 •  [Post 1]

i just bought a alps commander backpack and frame to replace the one the dog chewed up. my first impression of it was it is nicer than the cabelas alaskan guide model. the original at least. it has a ton of pockets, rifle carrier, and big pack to carry meat. the inside bag has a couple of strings that close it off from other compartments instead of being one big bag which i dont really care for. however i walked 5 miles with 50 lbs in it today and had no issues. it handled the load fine, i didnt get overly fatigued, and nothing broke. you can also take the pack off if you just want the frame and comes with straps to lash more on. all in all a very good framepack for 104 bucks.
