Quality Bow Strings!

Postby N5J » 06 26, 2012 •  [Post 1]

Just picked up my bow from Tom at Parknsons Archery and I’m always impressed with his workmanship! If you’re looking for quality bow strings or a tuning job contact Tom at Parknsons Archery. Tom has been making our strings and tunes our bows for the past 4 years. The reason we stick with Tom is we have ZERO peep rotation from his strings. Each of us shoots around 3000 arrows a year through our bows so we put his strings through the paces and we never had any issues. His workmanship and customer service is Top Notch! He can be reached at his web site http://www.parknsonsarchery.com. Normally Tom charges $72.00 plus shipping for a set of strings BUT he said if you mention you seen his add on Elknut’s web site he’ll charge $65.00 for a set of strings plus shipping. Tom is very knowledgeable in all brands of bows...give him a try you won’t be disappointed!

Tom's strings are awesome!! I have them on my Hoyt bow & John here has a set as well as other ElkNut Field Staffers. He is a Sponsor here & if any are looking for a sweet non stretch string with great customer service then look no further! I will never buy another string anywhere else! Click on his link & check them out & the variety of colors he offers! When you have some made have him add the string silencers, his are installed perfectly & they are nice! I really like mine a lot!

$72.00 to your door for a set in the USA...string and cable. IMO...they are better than winners choice strings. The last set of winners choice strings I bought cost me around $130 for a set and I had serving issues after 8 months. Tom's strings are made from quality material and his customer service is the best. He makes all his customer strings by hand...one at a time on a gig...doesn't mass produce like the big string companies.

dang!!

thanks for the heads-up!! i have great strings on my Z7, but they cost alot, and i had to pay more to get them installed.

this vendor is a bargain! even paying shipping back and forth to them is less than i paid!!

they also have a very very good website.

After shooting nothing but Winners Choice strings for severa years I have to say that I am very happy to have Tom's strings on every bow in our house. ZERO stretch and no peep rotation. The price is right, the customer service is phenomenal and Tom will take the extra time required to make sure everything is perfect with your bow. Thank you Tom!

It was a great hunt Tom, but no bugling at all. Our elk in Arkansas have a very intense rut at the end of Septmeber and then it is over quickly, alot of the bulls head to private land in the valleys. For example, I watched a herd of 30 cows and calves go across one mountian but no bulls at all with them during my hunt. Of course the hunt is at the end of October when the woods are pretty well silent. Ended up having to use my rifle instead of my bow which I was very disappointed in doing as I felt he was too far to shoot with a bow. I will try to post some pics on here, I have alot on my facebook page. I have got alot of good footage of some I called up during the rut here. Definitely not the Rocky Mountains, but it was a once in a lifetime chance to kill an elk in my homestate. I like big elk horns as much as anybody but I am not a trophy hunter, I just like elk hunting.

Last week I got another set of strings on my bow and Tom spent well over 1 1/2 hour with me getting the bow tuned and sped up. After a paper tune and bare shaft tune job, he asked if I had time to see if we could get a little more speed out of my bow...I said sure...more speed is always better! My setup is a Hoyt Vetric Plus 28" draw, set at 63#, 28" 55/75 gold tip xt hunter arrow, 125 gr tip total weight 390grns. First he had me shoot my setup through a chrono and my initial speed was 275 fps. Then he added some speed nocks to the string and my bows speed increased to 283 fps. Tom's knowledge in bows is amazing! Tom's customer service and strings are awesome!
