Quad fuel economy

I do not own any quads, but have hunted with a friend who let me use one a few years ago. It semed to me like it was not terribly fuel efficient, what sort of fuel economy do they have?

I have three quads available to me. The 350 Yamaha gets about 30 mpg, the 500 Polaris is a little over 20 mpg but my 800 Polaris only gets about 16 mpg so it is used mostly for snow plowing.
