who is using the TAG game bags?

Postby pointysticks » 07 18, 2013 •  [Post 1]

last time we had those heavy canvas ones. now i have a few alaska game bags in my pack.

i am gonna butcher a few super lightweigth HAZMAT suits that i have and make a few bags..i think they are similar material like the TAGS. i can blow air thru it, but the mesh is super tight..very TYVEK like.

anyone loving the TAG bags? not too many vendors selling them.

I just got my BOMB bags set from them. Very light and I think they will work very well for boned out meat. I love that they are not a square bag and are more tubular. To help prevent balling up at the bottom of the bag.

We use Allen game bags and nothing compares to them. That's what all the guides use in the Yukon. They are strong and stretchy and no blood from the meat soaks through to the outside. They are simply amazing !!

Most come with 4 game bags. I like to have 5. One for the take off meat and back straps ect. But then you need to buy to sets which is a pain. You can just put the extra meat in each of the four bags and separate it out later. Not really a big deal.

We've used the # 6020 Outfitter Allen game bags for over 20 years now, they are an excellent choice! I've not used Tags bags but it sounds like they too are a fine choice!
