Need help with a scope

This is probably not the right forum for this? I'm looking at getting a new AR 15 from Windham (Model # R20FSSFTSKV-CA) 20" barrel, I think 1 in 8 twist. Not sure what scope I want on it. I mostly hunt coyotes with most shots being from 0 - 300 yds and they are always running. So I don't need a 20 power scope, I was thinking around 2-12 but not a fixed scope. I looked at Vortex 2.5-10 but not sure on the turret or windage option. I don't have a lot of time to adjust for wind at a running yote, you have to do that on the go. I think it would be a awesome feature dog hunting or shooting paper. I have also looked at the Nikon and Leopold but just don't know. Price range is no more than $500. Any help would be appreciated.
