Swagger bipods

Postby Lsb » 05 04, 2018 •  [Post 1]

Anyone tried one? I'm seriously considering one. The 9 3/4"-41" model sounds great. I'm setting up a Winchester XPR 338 win mag. I've lapped the rings and mounted a 6.5-20x50 30 mm tube vortex viper with the bdc reticle. I'm going to start shooting in the barrel tomorrow. The swagger bipods look pretty sweet.

Ok I know I'm new but someone could at least tell me I'm dumb?

I've never laid hands on one but have looked at them and they seem like they'd be top shelf!

Brother, I have never so much as seen one. I usually save my sarcasm for expensive hunting clothes, and anything that Roosiebull recommends. I just hope he is not getting an inferiority complex.

Ive been using the Harris 13-27or 29 what ever it is. But 13 is a little too tall for prone for me and 29is a tick short for setting. The 9 3/4 -41 sounds nice.

You will fit in real well here. Welcome to the W.T. camp. I am sorry I could not help, but I have never had a bipod on a gun. It has been years since I hunted with anything other than a bow.

I Googled it up and looked at field model. At 23.6 ounces that is a tank to carry around. Have a look at the Versa Pod. Comes with 2 mounts so you can use it with multiple guns. Detaches really easily and snaps on in a flash. I love it. I’d rather not carry my gun around with the bipod on all the time. The Versa Pod has served me well for years. A Harris is an antique. Heavy and sticks way out. Yuk.

I always have a bit pod on. I can't think of a shot I've taken that I didn't use the bipod in years. As far as weight I don't mind adding a little to this gun, it's a 338 win mag with a synthetic stock.

If you don’t mind carrying the right tool for the job check out the Dead Shot Field Pod from Caldwell. It’s all I use anymore.

I'm in Grand island, NE now, stopped by Swaggers store and played with one. It's in the truck, they're pretty sweet. I'll get home and put it on the 338 and report back.
