Self made elk knives- lets see yours

I like seeing examples of hunters making their own gear. Here is my elk knife. The steel came frm a scandinavian blade supplier. The sheath leather was found in a thrift store as a briefcase. The handle came from the firewood pile. Making a knife is a fun project over a few evenings.

I made a couple knives for skinning beaver from files,.. . I have no idea what happened to them. Maybe left them at a friends house The handles were an ugly baby blue epoxie resin.

Not self made, but a custom made knife a local guy did for me. I supplied the ivory, he made the blade, sheath, etc. Kept the tusk part looking natural. Im very happy. And the high carbon damascus blade takes an edge real easy. Just recieved it last week.

Tip of the tusk i sent him to make the handle.
