What kind of skull

My daughter was shed hunting from her horse and came across this skull I dont know what it is from. I know its not from a big cat

Looks like a doe deer skull with the entire nose chewed off. The coyotes got a deer last year on my hunting property and they chewed the nose off of that doe too, the skull looks the same as the one in your pic.

You might be right.
It would be quite big, I looked at cow moose skulls so maybe a young female moose. Looked some more , maybe a cow elk,.. are the ivories gone?
I found interesting googling how much difference there in in bucks/does/ bulls/ cows

I don't think that is from a whitetail deer. I am not familiar with western deer. The head looks too rounded and eyes too big for a whitetail. Plus it looks big. My guess would be black bear with the canine teeth (font of jaw missing). That is a guess though.

The ivories would be gone if it was an elk they are way further forward than the teeth and would be chewed off.
