2016 Trail Camera Pics

Postby WapitiTalk1 » 11 10, 2016 •  [Post 1]

Well, I assume most everyone has pulled most of their trail cams for the year. Let's share some of the trail cam pics we captured during the 2016 hunting season! Elk, moose, deer, bear, predators, etc...... let's see them. Please just post a few at a time with a short explanation of what we're seeing (and, if maybe you saw this critter during the actual hunting season). This should be really enjoyable :D

Trail Camera Pictures of the whitetail I shot this year.
Wasn't even the one I was after. But he came in after a long trip to the mountains and after I decided to pass on a few cow elk this guy wasn't getting a pass.

Nice buck dude! Getting them on cam is a whole world away from killing them. If every big buck, bull, bear etc ive gotten on cam was on my wall id have to have my paychecks dd'd into my taxis bank account. Good job.

Phantom, im guessing youre aware of my eyes in the woods thread. Would it be bad form to link to it here? Im backlogged by a thousand or so pics on that thread cause i dont have internet at home, so only get to put my pics online when i take my laptop somewhere with wifi. I know, i should get internet. Point being, only have so many pics on my phone...

How about that pic of my trail cam.
Something always seemed to happen this year when I setup my trail cam, Once I forgot my SD card,.. discovered that the springs in my Bushnell pop the batteries ,. That happened twice.
Then our little bear chewed the camera up.
The black stuff by the fence post was my one camera.

We have about 4000 pictures of this little fellow,.. on the bait every day for 5 weeks,.. If we wouldn't have feed him I dont think he would be alive today.

Dennis, the only way I know is if you make your video clip a YouTube video first, then, embed it using the youtube button above.

As I went out to set the trail cam this guy was hot on a doe.
Took this with my phone, at one time he was only 15 yards from the pickup,.. and didnt care

Tonight he was the biggest buck on the field and 5 more 18-20 inch 4x4's.

I pulled the camera today. I watched a 27" mulie, 4 other bucks and 30 does file past the camera Friday evening. I was excited to look at the SD card.
Unfortunately the last pics were video, of the bottom of a bears jaw. the bear changed the settings as he chewed.

The little bear in an earlier post was looking health, but still small. It was a larger bear that tore down and chewed the camera

No, the one in my avatar is a younger bull, from a different unit, but i did get his sheds, the ones hes wearing in the avatar pic, and had em mounted on a plaque. Been watching that guy for a couple years but no sign of him for several months now. Seems like all my elk and moose in that area are turning into wolves or something. Picked up 8 moose paddles this year, but his were the only matched set that wasnt chewed at all. Pic of em is in the shed thread.

These are the antlers the young bull is modeling in my avatar pic. He was thoughtful enough to drop them right next to eachother where he knew i would find them.

Had a close encounter with this guy in october! He barked at me a couple times, then destroyed a tree to show me how tough he was, then went a hundred or so yards away, just out of sight, and got in a fight with another bull. Sounded like a couple bulldozers fighting in the woods.
