Messing around in the shop

Postby Lsb » 12 14, 2018 •  [Post 1]

Wind is howling today so we couldn't sheet a roof. So I went to the shop and started playing with antlers. So far I've made 13 of these rings out elk antler. Started out to make 3 for the wife and daughters, but just kept going.

Pretty cool. While you are at it you could make some napkin holders too.

I saw a guy at MalWart yesterday with a ring about the same size you are showing. He had them in the lobe of his ears. Call me old, but they were disgusting.
Now where were we? Oh ya; impress the woman in your life and make her some rings for the dining room table as napkin holders. She will be fooled into thinking you have developed some refinement. Don't get too carried away by telling her how pretty she is, or talking about a Hawaii vacation. She will become suspicious that you are hiding something. :D

Lefty, you are hopeless. I am reserving my advise for Lsb knowing it is a long shot.

We don't even own any cloth napkins......she knows I have no desire to go to Hawaii.....after 20 years she won't think I found refinement, she'll be looking for the punchline.

Great idea. I like it. You could also try making elk antler buttons.
