They collared a bunch of whitetails around my house this winter. Saw one of them. Big ol cumbersome looking collar and huge plastic eartags in both ears. And i think last year, maybe the year before, i got tcam pics of a cow elk sporting both collar and ear tags.

A few years back I spotted a cow with a yellow collar. She wouldn't give me a good look to get the numbers. She was tagged at Hoback Junction Wyoming 3 years earlier. I saw her north of Paul Idaho 200 plus miles west as the crow flies.
