Amazing how fast they are and don't even slow down when climbing a tree.

It is just amazing how fast they are for such a large animal. I couldn’t imagine that thing running at me if I only had my rifle ready in my hands.

I watched two cubs climb a tree to escape a helicopter one time. The sow stayed on the ground. I had the feeling she sent her cups up there as a safety precaution. At any rate they were up the tree very quickly. Obviously climbing a tree provides no safe haven.

Wild video. Evidence that it is harder to climb a tree trunk when it is covered in bear poop ;)
