I have to vote for somebody's other than mine. I can only imagine being there looking at that cliff face Trumpkin, sure that was pretty special few minutes.

Why does this stupid thing allow me to vote only once? That is like going hunting with just one bullet or arrow. I have several tags to fill on my hunt, and here we have multiple targets to consider. It is totally unreasonable in my humble opinion. Very humble I might add.

I am placing my write-in vote for #4. I am starting to feel sorry for Tigger. He may be a trouble maker, but his photo is very good.

I plan to be gone for a couple of days starting tomorrow afternoon. I understand RJ will select the winner sometime during my absence. I was wanting Tigger to start showing signs of surging but he is so hopelessly far behind in the vote count now that there is no hope for him. On the other hand if I pull ahead and win the grand prize, I just want you to know I will be a little late in acknowledging all your congratulations.
RJ, please try to keep Lefty and the rest of the inmates here at the asylum under control.

After coming so close to winning, I feel confident the next contest will put me over the top.

Thanks Swede, I appreciate that. You were definitely right on the cusp of overtaking me. And IS. And Trumpkin. I mean you were so close. Just keep swinging for the fences and you're bound to connect one of these times.

I haven't been contacted about my prize yet though. I have a feeling RJ is going to try and offload that mini blind he got on me when he decides he doesn't like sitting in a coffin all day.

7mm, I wish I could tell you what you get when you win the monthly photo contest, but I haven't exactly had to forward RJ my address lately. RJ seems particularly attached to Big Red, so don't expect the keys to a 1970 Chevelle in the mail anytime soon.
Lefty has been winning with kid photos, so I was thinking about going to the local playground with my camera, but something in the recesses of my mind suggested that might not go well. I will stick with nature photos hoping they come back in popularity.
Hey, a tiny ground blind might be great if you can just find a way to extract yourself.

The playground seems like a great idea, probably a sure thing. But I agree, some people might not buy that you're trying to win a photo contest on an elk hunting forum. They're clearly just overly sensitive.
