Project I've been working on

Postby six » 06 11, 2023 •  [Post 1]

I've been 3 years collecting pumps, hoses, tanks, and sprinkler heads. Wow this little system puts down some water. 600 gallons in about 15 minutes.

This winter I'm going to put everything on a trailer along with two more tanks.

Oh the things we do for wildlife.

Is all that water supplied out of a really good well, or from a nearby creek? A guy i know on the other side of the ridge has water rights to the creek there and uses it to water a field he has. In alfalfa and oats. Wish i could do something like you have here at my place, but i have a low output well (but a 2k gal holding tank that feeds the house). And the creek is just on the other side of the road. What is it that youre supplying so much water to there?

I put one of the tanks in the back of my pickup and use the pump to fill it out of a swamp. Then I haul it to my mom's garden or one of my food plots and use the same pump to put it through the sprinklers.

Pictured is a half acre clover plot. The deer love it.

It is very nice what you are doing for the deer, but is it just water, or do you have some special goodies to go with it?

I just couldn't wait for the trees to get big enough for a treestand so I made a tree out of a telephone pole. It works surprisingly well and the deer don't mind it at all. It's a great place to hunt in the rain.

With a quart thermos, good lunch and snacks you are ready for anything.
