10,000 Posts

The other day I noticed I was approaching my 10,000th post. Well, here it is. I have taken time to reflect on it as I was doing some of my daily exercise. I thought about how we have evolved and grown over the years. Even the name has changed. Years ago, we had one dominant voice. Now we are more like a large family. For better and worse I have been a part of it. I don't know if that makes me an egotist, a masochist or just a knucklehead. I will let you decide.
I have had my say on any topic I felt like engaging in and have challenged the heart of management. It was never the need to be on the side of the darlings of the forum that has held me back. I want to thank RJ and others that have determined to keep me around, warts and all. I know it has not been easy at times.
My love of hunting, especially elk hunting, and desire to help others has always been my motivation. I believe I have treated everyone with equal disrespect. It is a great ride here most of the time, but the road has had its rough spots. I said above, we are like family. I mean it and consider it a privilege to be with you.
I expect the road ahead to have as many chuck holes as the part that is behind us now. I hope for no easier ride. Get ahold of your coffee (Postum for you Lefty or whatever that rancid stuff you drink is). We have a lot to discuss, and the hunting season is just ahead.

Im, on a waterfowl forum since the early 2000's 23,000 posts. Over the 20 years Ive probably hunted with 70 - 80 members and met hundreds.


Ive only met 4 from this forum,,, NewJerseyDiverDan met him in the woods.
A couple more have stayed in my camp.
