ok I realize its the 1st of july, and our season starts the 31st of august. but it sounds a lot better to say elk season starts next mos. and I get official residency status in 17 days. I could easily argue that I have status on the 7th an try to buy a bear tag on the 9th but im working that morning so didn't figure it would make any difference by the time I got off. to bad cause I saw a track while I was scouting. im sure it would be an accident to kill one but would still like a tag in my pocket. anyway, so who all will be after them NEXT MONTH, and whos hunting labor day weekend. for me I will be after antelope starting the 15th leading up to elk season and will head up the 29th or 30th to get ready.
