More fishing in Elk Country

Postby Vanish » 07 10, 2013 •  [Post 1]

Friends from CA came in to backpack. We did about 30 miles in the eastern Flat Tops. It was a great trip with a few personal best fish as well. Sadly we did not see any elk.

Awesome! Looks like a fun fishing/backpacking trip. Two weeks until I get to go on mine...counting down the days. Thanks for sharing.

Its not a light one, just the Cabelas one that came with my rod. We call it "training" ... why pack super light when I need to be able to carry elk in the fall!

I do put two rods in it though.

The lightest ones I've seen were clear plastic tubes originally meant for some other purpose. Have yet to acquire one.
