Cold Shot #5- 2 Shot Group

Postby cnelk » 07 29, 2013 •  [Post 1]

For this you shoot 2 arrows from 28yds.

Measure the distance between the 2 arrows and the distance from the center of the bullseye

Pics would be great!

Has anyone else noticed it getting dark earlier. Two more min and I would have had to wait to another day.

Not my best night for shooting. To hot,to tired, shoulder hurts & I'm hungry...Hows them for excuses? First shot was 1.5" low, so compensated a tad & the second was 1/2" above center. Spread was 2".I generally dont shoot the same spot that close for fear of scrambling an arrow. Not the case tonight..

but, I killt the Grizzley!

Cold Shot #5- 2 Shot Group

I did this one. Cold shots are tough! Two inch group, one inch off. Only two shots I did. I didn't stick with it to see if it improved.

I was hoping to win so I could make you guys shoot with your hunting packs on :)

But dang. Some of you guys must sleep with your bows under your pillow!

I got home too late to get in on this one (daughter's birthday).

But I can see I'm going to have some trouble keeping up with you sight/release shooters this time! ;)

I actually partook in this but I've switched to shooting broadheads. It's just what I do from mid july on ;). Actually shooting two different kinds of broadheads so I was happy with the results. Didn't take any pics because I checked this before I went out and knew I wasn't in the running. Some good shots here! My mechanical head was about 1/4" low of dead nuts on (first one I shot) and my shuttle t was about 2" lower than that. I love the mechanical heads for August, windy days, antelope hunting.

Well I actually had it videoed on my phone and I already deleted it. But I will post a few pics from today's practice session. I shot a few different groups from 28 out to 70. Not a ton of arrows flung at each range but enough to feel comfortable and move on to the next.

60 yards. Both shuttle t heads are on the right and the grim reaper is on the left

2" and about 1". Field points are definitely in the zone. Working on the broadheads right now.

Cold shot challenge #5 with skeetos eating my skinny legs  About 1 1/2 IN high and a bit more than 1 IN apart. One close to above dead center and the other a bit left.

My second 2 shots were much better...but that's why they call it a "cold shot". :)

Tim, it looks like you have a soft spot in the 10 ring :P but other than having to refletch often, that's a real good thing!

Thanks.

That might be a little high at $10, the one with the yellow nock is a Cabelas Stalker Extreme  However I didn`t pay attention to which one I shot first :?
