Postby ElkNut1 » 07 04, 2012 •  [Post 1]

OK, here goes! How many pair of boots do you own? I own 5 pairs 3 are hunting boots, other 2 are packers & a pair cowboy boots!

I'll be that's not many compared to some here! (grin)

Five is the magic number. Three high, two hikers. Then there's the rubber boots, but those are for camp or back home, whitetail, trapping, etc. Don't get me started on cowboy boots. I'm glad my nephew took a bunch, now it doesn't look to bad.

5 for me too.

1 pair main hikers - only for hunting
1 pair back up hikers - for whenever i feel the need
1 pair insulated boots - only 400 gram though, my feet sweat in anything more even when really cold
1 pair zip up rubber knee boots
1 pair cowboy boots for an occasional wear to work our out

also own some rubber over boots for my hikers, for when i will be putting on more miles than i care to walk in my rubber boots

1 pair Kenetrek Mountain Extremes
1 pair Underarmour Ridge Reapers
1 pair Under Armour Speed Freaks
1 pair Under Armour HAW muck style boots
1 pair Schnees Pack boots

Definitely not boot poor. My favorite elk boots are the Kenetreks, for whitetails I like the Underamour HAW.

I don't know. Lets see: 1 pair of dress boots I wear mostly to church, 3 pair of Danner hunting boots, 1 pair of calked boots (cork shoes), 2 pair of vibram soled work boots. I still own the work boots, but don't wear them much since I retired. I have 3 pair of rubber boots. So lets add this up. So if I counted right that makes 10 pair of boots, but if I got to looking hard I could probably find some more old ones still laying around. Hey, I think Imelda Marcos and I have something in common. What do you think? Keep in mind I have more shoes that do not qualify as "boots".
