Wyoming Bear Hunt

Postby Triplebhunters » 10 29, 2013 •  [Post 1]

When I started my western adventures I had a simple plan of elk hunting a Colorado unit close to Wyoming and hunt black bear over bait in Wyoming.
Plans were to bait up a couple sites, then elk hunt while they sit. Run up and check and sit my bait when i either tagged out or just wanted to. Eventually find a local that would start my site when wyoming opened the season.

I've researched Wyomings rules etc. and understand the registration process. What I need to figure out is how to find my honey hole(s). It just doesn't seem like an simple process of hiking through the woods. finding what appears to be a killer spot, going to division of wildlife only to be told your to close to someone else's site. Any ideas?

What is your favorite attractant, bait etc.?

Your best bear story?

Liquid Smoke is a great attractant. They can smell that stuff for miles. Pastry is a good bait.
