A little Help?

Postby JohnFitzgerald » 11 30, 2013 •  [Post 1]

Hey Guys,

So I'm working on some graphics for an in the field elk hunting company. They want something new, abstract, leading, and eye catching. I created the following image but don't have the words to go along with it. The image is designed to represent the transformation of the hunter to a elk killing wolf. Anybody have idea's for the ????????????.

Thanks,
jf

I like them both. The second is the name of a hunting show so I can't use it.

Minus the logo and name, thumbs up or down on this one?

Not really all that eye catching. I had to look twice to notice the elk in the picture. What do you think about making the background a lot lighter to make things stand out better? Not criticizing, just telling you what I noticed / or didn't notice. LOL!

I agree with WW. I would suggest doing something with the wolf's eyes to make them stand out and look more menacing.

To my eye the second example is better. I like the way the darkness fades into the light area rather than the harder edge of the last two. Personally think it's more artistic and would capture the idea better.

Just my dos centavos.

I like posts #9 better. The first ones were too hard to see, but #9 & #10 still speak to the mind set. I think the wolf now supports the idea you had about showing the development of an elk hunter, without saying it in words. I like the image of a lethal predator.

For a Web Advertisement you could subtly GIF the wolf/human to fade back and forth a little to make it more eye catching.

As for the still pic I like the Feedit2.jpg best.

I thought about using GIF's to reverse the wolf/hunter on a horizontal axis. Then after working with the opacity and brightness on the different layers, I decided against it. :-)

Now, I just need to find room for their logo and name. UGH!

Elk hunting...Release the Beast!

Still having a hard time with that wolf/human hybrid image...to me, it lacks contrast...seems flat. JMHO.

Thanks guys for the thoughts. I removed the elk picture and made it more of a squared image, which was really close to the orginal. Final version was submitted and quickly approved. When you see it you'll know. ;-)

I consider everyone's thoughts and opinions, except Swedes! Ok, maybe even his.

Here's the final. They like just the wolf/hunter image.
