Has anybody's mouth started watering profusely when closing the distance on game? Happened to me bowhunting after not having venison in the freezer for a few months and a doe walks by. (Strange, but enlightening)

I get that mouth watering sensation whenever a decent buck or elk comes around. I suppose I could hold out more and take a few bigger bulls, but I have that mouth watering syndrome, and it needs to be satisfied. I passed on a good cow this past September, and I will end up eating chicken instead if I am not careful about the remaining elk I have, and the deer I got.

Few years back in a particularly elkless stretch during my college days living off ramen and eggs, a buddy and I were driving down the freeway and a gal passed us. As she passed she was ripping a piece of jerky in her mouth. It was like in the movies when everything goes into slow motion. We both just busted out laughing at each other. It was like we hadn't eaten jerky in years.
