Dumb Phone?

Anyone else around this place still have a dumb phone or am I the only one. Up until yesterday I really had no complaints about it. I was headed home from work and spotted some deer so stopped to watch for a minute. Spotted a little 4 point with some does and turned my head and saw the two biggest bucks I've seen all winter. They ended up within 25 yards of the truck and all I have to show for it is blurry pictures of sage brush with deer somewhere in the blob!!!

I still have a dumb flip phone. Verizon keeps sending me a notice saying I am eligible for a smart phone, but I keep ignoring their e-mail. I get a little better reception with the dumb phone and I can plug in an antenna. Besides I am not sure I am smart enough to figure out a smart phone.

Old Nokia flip phone for me, I don't even pay for texting service. I suppose I am on the far side of the technological divide.

I can't believe that people who own smart phones are the ones saying Sitka gear is expensive!

You guys are the smart ones, Just say NO, don't be tempted, it's sorta like switching from solo s$x to having it with your wife and darn near as expensive. But, once you do you don't want to go back to the old ways.

My smart phone was free. My dumb phone quit working and the cheapest dumb phone they had was $150. My monthly payment also dropped $15/month when I went from my dumb phone to a smart phone.

Have had mine less than a year. Many of you will find be surprised when you go to replace your dumb phones. You'll have three choices and they will all be expensive. There will be an entire wall of free smart phones.

Yep mine was free also. Otherwise I wouldn't have one. Wait until Mothers Day and Verizon generally always has free phone deals.

Just got a smart phone about two months ago. Bill was cheaper to go smart phone. I don't get it. They are fun to have when you're bored, but other than that I could care less. Rest in peace flip phone. I miss you.

I can give you the geeky version of why cell companies are doing this.

Simplistically 4G (Most currently mfg smart phones) is the preferred technology the carriers want you to use. Whether the carrier has 4G in your area yet, they want your phone ready when it does arrive. 4G is at it's core, a data system. Smart phone=data device.

I still have a dumb phone, and I love it. My friends always have problems with their smart phones and they have to get new ones all the time. Ive had my dumb phone for 4 years now.

ive still got the flip phone and i catch hell for it all the time. "hey zach morris wants his phone back" i was at the verizon store replacing my old flip phone and was offered a free smart phone. guy looked at me like i had two heads when i wouldnt take it. said id rather pay for a flip phone
