Hittin that wall...

Postby Mikeha33 » 02 17, 2014 •  [Post 1]

Well, It's 4:10, on a Monday, and I have officially hit the wall. I need a pick me up. I've been working on finishing up a bid for a client almost all day, but still have a few hours to go. What do you guys do when you hit those late afternoon doldrums???

I take my frustrations out on subcontractors that owe me a bid!!!

I call them and yell angry things about them holding up my schedule by wasting time and not getting their bid to me . . . which will directly affect my elk season . . . then I call them names . . . then I give up in frustration and disqualify all of the bids that I have already received.

Just kidding!

Couldn't resist.

I actually hit the wall today around 3:30 . . . yikes. I usually spend 5 minutes on here or on camo fire looking for things that I NEED.

I go for a walk. I work in a building with six hangars on a small airport. I go walk the tarmac and check out the planes.

Sounds like my 5:00 phone calls yesterday!!!!! Nobody likes getting 5pm calls from a GC asking "where in the &@(# is my bid!!!" But, in my position, I sure don't like having to still be working at 7pm using square foot costs because my subs didn't come through on their end!!
