After a phone call with Elknut my wife said to me....

So I was talking to Paul on the phone last night. It started off as more business. Of course that didn't last long and there we were... in our minds on the side of a hill with a bull going off on the next ridge over discussing how we were going to call it in and kill it. My hearing isn't too good so the volume on my phone is always cranked. This morning my wife looks at me and says man... that guy has the perfect name. I could hear him on the other on the phone. Holy heck he really gets all worked up about elk hunting! You two are perfect together. Then she went on to say what a nice guy he sounded like.

I guess she pegged our Elknut in one not so short phone call.

Don't do it!!! If you think the off season blues are bad now you'll be way worse after that. After talking to the ElkNut for awhile I was ready to leave first thing this morning!

I may have " over called" poor Paul a few years ago. He helped me with a hunting spot and questions popped into my head 1-2 at a time. Haha. Sorry bud.

I still have the note sheet I took when talking to him on my wall. Its held up there with my lucky dart.
