Animal track tattoos

Postby Gypsumreaper » 11 04, 2014 •  [Post 1]

Ok guys/gals so I've been having a debate with a friend about animal track tattoos. Mainly deer and elk.
If you have or do have a track on your tattoo, did you or would you include the dew claw? Im talking about a true to life track to show what your into, would you include the dew claw or leave it out?
His tattoo has dew claws and yes if you see tracks online (drawings mostly) they show the dew claws. But I believe a true track on just enough soft dirt to see the track nicely would you see the dew claw?
When i do my next tattoo I will leave the dew claws out because it looks more realistic to me. The main reason is usually when I do see dew claws it's in deep snow or really soft mud where the animal slips, but then the front is usually spread out more and looks weird.
What do you all think?
Dew claws yes or dew claws no?

Just makes the tat too busy. I'll pass on the dew claws.
