I'm back...I hope :)

Postby Freebird134 » 01 16, 2015 •  [Post 1]

Hey dudes. It's been a long year, and I've been MIA. We had a kid. I think everyone that has one will understand. But making plans to get back out to Idaho this fall to chase elk, so I'm going to be poking around here a lot more. :D Hope you guys are all well!

Thanks guys. We are all doing great. Henry is 6 1/2 months now and turning out to be a pretty happy, easy going kid. This fall was slow for me--not a lot of time for hunting with a new born in the house. But starting to make plans for Idaho this year. Probably put in for the late deer hunt in the south hills close to my parent's house. But there are only 20 tags, so our "backup" plan will be McCall the last week in September (and pray there aren't fires this year!).

Congratulations on the newborn Brandon. Good to see you back in action here. Good luck with the plans for this fall.

You look like you could use some sleep. ;)

Thanks! I've been doing (and enjoying) things I never thought I'd do. He really cut in to the 2014 hunting season, but was worth it! Very happy to be settling into this new life style and starting to think about hunts again!

Thats where it at
I could post hundreds of pic of my daughters on hunts ( brag brag brag 8-) )
All my kids started hunting in a backpack OK not really much for hunts but it was their start. Raise some hunting partners , working well for me
OK I Will brag. Came home and opened the fridge. 5 lb trout on a pan. My 2 year 8 month granddaughter with the help of my daughter landed. Just her and mom landed 26 trout this week ice fishing
I already have a little partner to ATV to the goose pit
When I m an old mam I suspect their will be some great stories( real too)

Already have some great old stories
Walked into a sporting goods store with my oldest, at that time she was just over three years old. A few guys around the gun counter heard a loud whisper from my daughter..
A small 3 x 3 bull hanging on a wall.
" Dad, Dad" pointing at the little bull , in her words drawn out whisper " Biiigg , buuck,.. biggg buck"
