Very Cool DIY Wood Stove

Postby Indian Summer » 12 01, 2015 •  [Post 1]

I thought this was very cool. You could either use it to cook, for a little bit of heat in a tent vestibule, or to actually cook. Might be worth the weight of packing in a hand auger.

Lefty I thought about making a few at home to take to a base camp too. Maybe even stuff them with some cotton balls with Vaseline on them to make sure it fires right up on the first try. I might use more than 3 nails too if I was cooking so nothing falls over.

I think I'm going to take a cordless drill and auger bit to Wyoming next season to do that. I like it!

I realized my drill bits longer than 12 inches were all 1/2 or less.
So I didnt make one for this camp outing.
