Monthly Wapiti Talk Photo Contest - March 2016 WINNER!

I thought this would be a fun thing to do each month. Pretty simple. Submit a photo in accordance with the rules listed below and compete with others for a chance to win a coveted prize! After all photos have been submitted, I’ll put up a poll or something similar so members can vote on their favorite. We’ll change the monthly photo “theme” each month. Let’s get this rolling. The March window is officially open for member submissions!

March’s Photo Theme – “Weather”

Rules:

1. One photo submission allowed per month, per member (yep, MODs may enter a photo also).
2. Photo must relate to the monthly theme (or risk being disqualified).
3. Do not use photo editing software to enhance your photo. Just post the photo as it was taken with your camera, smart phone, trail cam, etc. You may have to resize some photos so they are accepted by the forum software.
4. You may use older photos you have on hand, but, do not submit a photo that has won a previous WT photo contest.
5. Any WT member may enter a photo they have taken or star in.
6. Judging – WT members will vote on monthly photos (RJ will put up a poll or something similar for the voting after the monthly contest ends).
7. Contest period will end at midnight, the last day of each month.
8. Winner must contact Phantom16 via PM and provide mailing address for prize (your prize may be sent directly from the WT sponsor or from RJ).
9. Prizes will vary from month to month.

* At the end of the year, all monthly contest winners will be automatically entered into a Photo of the Year Contest.

Here's some archery elk weather . . . Late Aug 2015 on my wife's archery hunt. 9,000 ft, was 70+ and sunny an hour prior to this photo. Started hailing hard with 3/8-1/2 inch hail. That dark spot under the fir tree in the center of the photo, behind the aspen, is my wife. Lightening cracking all around us within 1/4 mile, hail coming down really hard beating the crap out of us until we took cover under those living lightening rods. The video from which this photo was extracted is much more interesting than just the photo. Still, you can see streaks of hail in the photo, and the ground mostly covered in hail.
