My wife and I ran across a couple of fellows Thursday night; they mentioned there were still 8 bulls caring head gear.

They had on the ground 5, 6 points , a spike skull , 1, 7x year old sheds,
no matched sets. Then two fresh sides. they had them on the ground the one fellow mentioned they had been there since Monday
They pointed us towards two herds we watched the next morning one herd of 20 the other 100 plus.
They were beyond elk-nuts, they were just plain crazy about elk, and had some nice bull kill pics.

Key ring makers; if either of you are on this forum,.. Im not sharing "your" location. 8-)

hope to add to this thread, but I suck at shed hunting...really bad.

had a group of 5 bulls living on this somewhat small ridge last year, must have been 50 fresh rubs on a small knob..one bull was a stud....looked all over that place last year after they dropped...not a single antler.

the ones I do find are on accident. have not found a single buck shed this year, and they have all dropped...couple days of looking, and lots of days in the woods...nada

Well this little moose antler was sure easy to spot. Sitting right on a road, and even comes with a kickstand.

Yeah, thats 2 days in a row ive found sheds right on roads. Im not shed hunting, just scouting and taking care of existing xams, and hanging new ones. My goal this spring/ summer is to get all my cams hung and working for me. No time for shed hunting, but ill gladly pick up the odd incidental piece of bone while im running cams.

Yes i cheated for a cool pic. Found the moose paddle, and then about a mile away i found a bunch of shrooms, so i set the paddle down next to a couple shrooms for a good pic.

Went up to top secret whitetail honey hole a today to set up my camp for the september 1st opener. After finding a suitable spot in the general area i wanted to set up in, i start hiking back to the road. Found this maybe 50 yards from my tent. Pretty old and chewed up, but beats a kick in the nuts.

My hunting buddy found these in Idaho. He was taking a shortcut back to camp with his son, down some really steep stuff, I usually won't go down it, creeps me out its so steep. looked down and one antler was laying in front of him. He got excited as I would, then looked down the hill and about 20 yards further down the hill laid the other. Nice rack. You could see the spot from our camp and it was only about 200 yards away and 100 feet of elevation gain.
