Outdoor Themed Movies?

Postby WapitiTalk1 » 03 24, 2017 •  [Post 1]

Ugh, in the thralls of the wet side of Washington winter/spring. Its at this time of the year that I always try to find some old or newer outdoor themed movies to watch. Please, list some of your favorites and hopefully... there are some that I haven't seen that I can watch! Here's a few that I either own or catch my attention if they're on the tube:

Jeremiah Johnson (although I've seen a gazillion times)
The Edge
The Revenant
Man in the Wilderness
Bone Tomahawk (bizarre show)
The Mountain Men
The Hunted
Never Cry Wolf
The Mountain
The Grey
Cast Away

Looking at watching these:

A lonely place to die
Wild (the newer one with R. Witherspoon doing the PCT)
Touching the Void

Does the Great Outdoors with John Candy count? It's one of my favorites.

My side of the Mountain had a big impact on me when I was a child. I watched it again a half dozen years ago and though I enjoyed it, the feeling was not the same.

I am sure out of the loop. I may have seen Jerky Johnson. I also saw the first 15 minutes of Cast off. Did Tommy survive? I am not sure I watched Jerky or just the advertisements.

Swede, track down The Mountain with Spencer Tracey, one of my favorites. You'll dig it brother.

I dunno how you guys can sit still for that long. I make it about 30 minutes into a movie and then I gotta head outside or into the reloading room or something.....Or I just fall asleep. :D
