Well theyre popping up. Just stumbled upon a handful while checking a couple cameras here at home. Guess ill be eating mushrooms with my bear tonight.

Have you ever tried drying morels? Just take a sewing needle and thread and stitch however many it takes for a meal on a line. Hang them up and let them dry. Then when you get hungry for them next winter, just soak them in some water and they'll soften up and be good as fresh picked.

I dried a lot of cyanescens and stuntziis in my younger days :D

Family Fishing and mushrooms are three of the top things I miss about Minnesota.
My dad always found enough to supply family and friends. He dried (WW method)
I had a few old Elm tree stumps in my yard. Always fresh ink-caps all summer long, mushrooms, butter and red meat,.. ooh scrumshich!!!!!
