Hey Jerks

Postby Swede » 06 11, 2017 •  [Post 1]

Where do you characters go to hide on the weekends? The crew left here is hardly enough to get a game of cribbage going. At least I don't have any RJ nonsense to straighten out.

I sure hope to read some more flimsy and lame excuses. I know there are a lot more out there. :D

Six, that is really sick, sick, sick. It is worse than RJ's excuse. Doesn't anyone go out and hang game cameras? What happened to shopping for hunting supplies? Anything is better than work and honey dos.

Cleaning the Toyhauler, changed the coolant in the truck and working on the Rzr. Getting ready for hunting season.

Did go scouting last week.

Sorry to hear about your dog. Always sucks losing a good friend.

Crap, that blows. Sorry to hear about the loss of your pup mister. Don't suppose you have a picture of your old friend you'd care to share? Most of the folks on this forum are dog people and understand. Tough times but I'm sure your setter had a great life.

I too am sorry about the loss of your dog Grousewit. I know they can be part of the family. I should have posted earlier. I just was not paying enough attention.

Sorry to hear about the dog. I have my date with that scenario coming up soon with my brittany.

I spent the weekend fishing in Canada with my dad and my kids. It was great. If I would have known you were going to be bored, I suppose I could have stayed bac.....nah, I wouldn't have! I think that is a pretty good excuse though, isn't it? We don't have cell phone reception up there as we are pretty remote (4 hours north of International Falls MN).

It looks like everyone has a legitimate reason for their absence. I will play solitaire. :D

Recently some of this. That's me in the orange right up front cheering the Pittsburgh Penguins on to yet another Stanley Cup victory.

And of course this regularly......

it rained a lot this winter here in CA.

normally that doesnt mean much..but i moved to Sonoma Wine country..and all the beautiful twisty roads up in the hills all decided to crumble into the ocean. i have never been so busy in my life. first time in my career that my vacation request was denied. no summer two week backpack trip to catch trout. mofos!!

i work for the gov...so typical BS. the ones that work simply get more work. i need to suck it up and learn to drop the ball a few times, but my personality just wont let me. :)

i already told them, they are not allowed to mess with my hunting season..i think i got a free landowner tag for a cow elk in NM this year...my brother already got his landowner bull tag..so i know i am going! the landowner is trying to get me a tag on a neighboring ranch so i dont feel so much like my brother's sherpa. haha..

our other rancher friend already gave us a letter for deer this year as well. i am going!!

but i have been busy!! juuuussst starting to feel the burn out.

Pointysticks: I worked with some great people that were competent and hard workers. I worked with some that were more of a liability than an asset. The good workers very rarely received their due and neither did the culls.

My excuse was as solid as it gets today. I was out scouting with Oly, my son. I guess that same excuse covers him as well. There were elk on the game camera, but a lot of down times in between hits.
