Mid day trespasser on cam

Postby wawhitey » 07 26, 2017 •  [Post 1]

This little lion was trespassing right behind my house on sunday, in the middle of the damn day. 2:30 in the afternoon. They sure are getting bold! 3rd daylight coug pic in the last couple months here at home, and one killed a calf at my neighbors place this year.

I watch my deer closely here, and feeding them in the winter lets me get very familiar with individual does. I can recognize a lot of them at a glance, the way i would recognize different people. Im pretty confident in my estimate that i have about a 90% fawn mortality rate here at my place. Sometimes im shocked that it isnt worse. Seems like there is a lion, bob, bear and yote for each deer here. The odds are certainly stacked against the little fawns, and the grown deer too for that matter.

Nice looking cat, but there can get to be too much.
