Eclipsing

Postby Lefty » 08 20, 2017 •  [Post 1]

I viewed the maps. We tried to find a place not packed with people. I may have found it.
When we drove up the last camps were 4 miles back. Tonight a couple move vehicles from California parked 2 miles down the road.
A 30 minute ride up a barely used atv trail.
We did find the worlds tallest sage brush. Slightly over 11 feet tall.
I'll pull out the gold pan tomarrow, maybe find some color.
And since this is an elk forum we did se a funky short spike bull , mid afternoon in an Alfalfa field. Our daughters came up this evening and nearly hit two cow elk.

Good fun too!
Quite incredible in totality. Roasting a hotdog( with a Wapiti Shirt)
A two mile backup on the road that "nobody" drives.
People from all over parked on BLM ground and road ditches, even that was a sight to see ;)

I had the pans out and on the atv.
My wife started texting our daughters. The they showed up.
Early am I started glassing for game, back at camp I took the grand daughter for a ride, and coolest ed firewood.
Just didn't get it done, however I will pan the creek next summer,... and ride, camp, pass and glass into the area.
