The Big Difference

Postby Swede » 03 06, 2018 •  [Post 1]

Last year I hunted my regular haunts in Oregon, but most of the time in Idaho with RJ and company. The hunt was long, but thanks to all, I enjoyed every day. Everyone I hunted with was a good sportsman and helpful to the max. Aside from the cast of characters and terrain, the biggest difference was the elk. In Oregon, I had a very good chance for a few days only. After about four days the elk are gone due to several factors including hunting pressure and cattle. In Idaho the hunting was never very hot until that last day, but the elk were always in the area. There was a chance every day to connect with a bull.
