The mountains I hunt are white this morning, I can't wait until Saturday. It's better than Christmas!

We had frost yesterday and our high is only going to be in the 40s today, tonight they are "predicting" 90% chance of rain with a low of 30 degrees??? Last I checked water freezes at 32 degrees and it usually starts snowing at around 36 degrees around here.

We'll see how it works out, it's been raining on and off all day and they are saying that the temps will be somewhere from 30 to 36 degrees tonight.

It got down to 30 degrees last night but the clouds blew out toward the north east so we didn't get anything but rain before midnight and nothing after that.

On the flip side, we had no fire smoke this morning, just a perfectly blue sky and comfy fall-like temperatures.

Sky's where beautiful from South Central Montana to South East Idaho and back. Snow up high the whole way, 600 miles worth of beauty.

Up to 7 inches expected at Beartooth Pass and snow on Going to the Sun Road in GNP. Meanwhile back at the ranch I had a bit of heat exhaustion after work yesterday.

Snow on the mountains yesterday and beautiful blue skies today, not a day in the long term forecast over 75, feels like summer is already on its way out and fall may be arriving early. I'm excited for lows in the upper 30's Saturday as I head out with the dog after upland birds.

Easy there mister. Captain Morgan after work is "not" proper hydration! Leaving for the spud state on 13 SEP. It's starting to really sound like it may be one of those years where mother nature kicks in high mountain winter type weather early; can't wait!

I’m really beside myself...the bighorn mountains of Wyoming are due to receive me in a few days but I didn’t at all conside one thing, weather!!
Looks like the highs are supposed to be around 60, I’m more used to hoping it’s not 100 in early September!!!

.
Am I crazy or could this be a good thing??!!??
