Scent Control

Postby Swede » 04 05, 2018 •  [Post 1]

Scent control is even more important for a tree stand hunter than for a person on the ground?
I can't move around and take advantage of the wind direction, so I go as high as practical at many spots to get my scent off the ground and to better hide myself. A disadvantage is that I often find the water holes I want to sit at in basins. What are some other thoughts on this subject?

Scent control is always important.
Control what you can While I believe we always have scent around no matter what we do! with maybe the exception of strong straight winds.
Sitting on bear burns you can really get an idea what happens with scent-in the mountains and how it flows and mixes. Reading track in the snow how fox and coyotes work lure smells or even watching your dog look for you.
