Just returning to my home here in NE Montana after last weekends Montana Warriors On The Water cow elk hunt for our service members. The hunt took place in the Big Timber area of Montana. Thanks to the land owners and other business owners in the Big Timber area, the hunt was a great few days. 4 or the 5 vets took both a cow elk and a turkey. The one vet who did not fill her elk tag is still working with a ranch family near Big Timber to down a elk on some ranch land they have not to far from her home. A big shout out to Brian at Pioneer Meats in Big Timber for donating processing of the elk to veterans, if ever going to or thru BT try Pioneer meats!

Sounds like a great hunt Dwb. I'm sure you have plenty of help but give me a shout if you need more in the future.

I'll second stopping by pioneer meats, Brian is a great guy and makes some awesome sausage.

I have never had anything bad from Pioneer meats in BT, I actually give a few of their smoked hams to a few family members and friends at Christmas season. It is all good!

We have a pig and lamb processed there every year, as long as I'm within driving distance that's where I'm going. I process most of my own game. We had my wife's mountain goat processed there, jalapeno cheddar brats, jalapeno cheddar snack sticks and hunters sausage. Delicious.

The remaining veteran bagged her elk. Thanks to the commitment of a Big Timber, Mt area rancher.
