Wyoming Bull Down

Postby Indian Summer » 09 08, 2019 •  [Post 1]

My friend Will who got married last weekend drew a good tag this year. One that takes max points for non residents. I remember the good old days when we could put in for units like this and if we didn’t draw we’d “settle” for a general license as our second pick and get it every time. Will was thinking the late November hunt was his best bet. This was the first year they had added a late hunt so bulls are probably in the habit of dropping their guard and being safe dropping into the sage flats as soon as they cared too. He went over this weekend for the first time just to drive roads and learn access points and a general lay of the land. Total time hunted:10 minutes! Gotta love Wyoming!

I was gonna razz him for getting married so close to hunting season but he’s obviously in control of his time in the elk woods. Dandy bull, congrats.

Nice bull! I hope his honeymoon lasts longer than his elk hunt.

Very cool. Always nice when things come together like that.
I hunt therefore I am. I fish therefore I lie.

All women love hunting until they hear their fiancee say, "I do". After that it is back to shopping. Anyway congrats on a fine looking bull.

No she enjoys it. I wish we could post videos. She filmed that bull skylining coming over the hill all they in and the shit. You can clearly hear the arrow hit the bull. It’s a great 28 second vid.

Any luck Swede?
