Another elk down

Postby saddlesore » 09 23, 2019 •  [Post 1]

I proved last Friday that the stupid gene in elk has not been depleted as I thought. A cow walked by me at about 8 yards and committed suicide with a 348 gr Power Belt pushed by 80 gr of BH 209 from my muzzle loader. Not much story behind it.

Congratulations on another successful hunt. Based on all the evidence I have seen, the stupid elk taste as good as the smart ones. Eight yards is doing very well.

Way to go, Vince. Fortune favors the prepared. You were not in the exactly right place, right time by accident.

Congrats again,

Nice to be able to get out and put meat in the freezer.

Are you thinking it may have been a close call for the pack animal? :D I think Vince is still using mules.

I was probably less than 400 yards from my two mules. Far for me.
