Since we didn’t kill elk during the archery season our archery tag rolls over into a muzzle loader season
I leave today for a visit to Minnesota, so I’m missing the warm weather huntiing
I’ll have till the beginning of the 2nd week In December

My daughter complained she can’t stay warm late season I’m not a truck hunter and the elk are a healthy hike in

I’ll be chasing elk in the Bitterroot Valley in Montana the week before Thanksgiving. I am hunting a new area and I have never been out this late in the season, so it may be interesting.

blacktail season starts for me Saturday, then late cow season the following Saturday.... opening day all over again :D

elk hunting late is pretty tough, especially early on since they have been run all over by the rifle hunters, but they calm back down after a bit, it's a totally different elk hunt, but also fun. only hunted late season cows one time since killing my first elk, so i'm looking forward to it. I used to like it as much as early season.

my first elk was a late season cow

You know i should, but i bought modern firearm elk tag this year because i thought id have the time off and i also figured there was a good chance id still be hunting deer during the nov 25 - dec 8th late arch elk. I was wrong on both counts. So here i am with the whole late archery elk season off, and cant get the tag. Ill take out my frustrations on some long tails.

Hunting whitetail the next few days and elk for a few after Thanksgiving. Working on getting my daughter a buck and a bull.
