Looking for Resident Wyoming guide/hunting partner

Postby Medstudent2019 » 06 22, 2020 •  [Post 1]

Anyone that lives in Wyoming interested in taking an out of stater first timer on as a hunting partner/resident required guide in 2020? looking into unit 97 and doing a backpack hunt into the wilderness area. I am an AZ resident and can assist with an AZ hunt/scouting/pack out in trade.
Young, healthy, motivated with lots of hunting experience.
I know its a stretch, but if anyone is interested let me know, I will buy the left over tag today!

How many leftovers are there in 97. What were the draw odds last year?

There are 84 left over tags. Draw odds were 100% for 3 points according to the site.

Your points do not come into play for the leftover tag draw. It's simply random. Residents and non-residents combined.

Last year odds were 67% in the leftover draw odds (73 tags / 109 applicants). Good luck.

Medstudent I drew that leftover tag. Not sure if you put in for it or not. I'm in the same boat as you looking for a guide if you did. I believe surely we should locate someone. If you have any tips or need any help I'll be around there somewhere and will have some stock. Thanks

I ended up not putting in for it, just too much uncertainty with my schedule this year. Ended up drawing a Coues tag here in AZ so at least I will be chasing something this fall. Let me know how you do in that unit @pop-r
