I quit

Postby Lefty » 11 07, 2023 •  [Post 1]

I've hunted six full days and four partial days and only saw six cows.
Yesterday when I came up to camp The guy I was going to hunt with decided he was done, fighting the slippery mountain sides in mud was just too much for him.

Last night; fresh snow at dark.
This morning I drove miles and miles and never cut an elk track.
All the glassing in primo country and still never found them.
So I packed up; 2 hours to the new campsitea
And hunt area.

Good luck Lefty. It's hard pulling stakes from ground you like but sometimes is what you have to do. We're rooting for you.
I hunt therefore I am. I fish therefore I lie.

Im home for a full day,, Laundry, restock on food, gas and propane.
Thursday I had a doe messing around nearby, and suspected she was looking for her buck. Literally the last minute of shooting the buck showed but is was too dark for me to shoot.

Ill be back in the blind Monday AM
