Well, a handful of you old timers know Travis O'Shea/Wapiti River Outdoors from up north of the border. He's a world class elk caller and makes some of the finest elk calling gear on the market. I asked him a while back if he could provide a few products for our WapitiTalk Sponsor Promotional contest items and I received THE box today . I'm not easily "floored", but this box and its contents floored me . Over the following months, during the looooong off season, I'll be posting up WRO bugle tubes, calls, the best elk call storage case I've seen, and even some windicators.

OK, here we go. Up for grabs are two WRO elk calls and a windicator. All you've gotta do is say "I'm in" and guess a number between 1 and 1000. After we run it a bit, I'll plug all the guessed numbers into the randomizer thingamajig and we'll have a winner, winner... elk steak dinner!

I haven't used any of his elk reeds in some time but a few in the past were great!

I will say that his wind checker is the best I've ever used. No comparison to to home remedies either! Whether you win it or not his wind checker is a must have, it's simply awesome! You guys gotta try it! Unfortunately for him one bottle lasts several seasons. You will thank me later! (grin)

I purchased a couple of WRO diaphragms last summer. They are easy to use and sound excellent. If you order from him shipping is done from within the States so there is no international charge. Anyway, I am in at 351

I use his calls exclusively. I love the Patriot. The Reaper is also awesome. I have tried other calls but none are as good as those two for me. I have also talked to Travis and he is a great guys who provided me some great instruction when I was starting out. Highly, highly recommend these calls.

I think I've tried just about every call that Travis makes and they are all excellent. Also, his grunt tube is a real boomer. Wapiti River is a great addition to the advertisers here on the forum.

that was my California trapper number,,.. Bought a license over $350 in 1988 Wanted a California bobcat, but caught a swift fox. A real trophy for me. Trapped for 4 days ( on my Honeymoon ) then got a refund from California!!
